“I truly hate running, to be honest.”

Although Jack Dolan was prepared for his first competitive race, he was not expecting what happened midway through the race.

As his legs started to feel the strain, a random goose unexpectedly appeared and landed on the path ahead. The bird began to run, keeping pace with the racers, including Dolan.

“He just swooped down with the flow of traffic and started to outpace me! It was a sight to see.”

Although the reason for the goose’s participation in the race remains a mystery, it appeared to have a sense of purpose as it ran with the crowd. He would run for a while and then take a break on the side, only to swoop back in for a quick sprint.

“He went for a bit then took a break on the sideline. Then swooped back in again for a quick sprint.”

After the bird took another rest, Dolan lost sight of it, allowing him to cross the finish line before it.

“Not sure what he’s up to now, but I hope his legs don’t hurt as bad as mine do.”

Despite the soreness from the run, Jack Dolan had successfully accomplished his first-ever half marathon with a unique experience of a random goose joining the race for a brief period of time.
