Panda, a beloved and opinionated cat, has always been dedicated to his family’s safety.
One day, while his mom, Lisa van Seters, was on a Zoom meeting, Panda’s loud meowing caught her attention.
Assuming he had brought home another quirky gift, she investigated, only to discover a bird that had flown in through an open window and become trapped inside.

This audacious act made Panda outraged and expressed his offense through incessant meowing.
Determined to restore order, his mom tried to guide the bird out of the room, but it evaded her attempts.
Eventually, the bird entered the kitchen and flew out of the window, much to Panda’s satisfaction.

“It caused quite a bit of commotion as I couldn’t get the bird out of my room (I was trying to throw a towel over it). He was meowing like crazy until it eventually flew into the kitchen and out the window.”

However, despite the successful eviction, Panda remained in a state of agitation.
He continued to pace around the house for 30 minutes, meowing persistently as if searching for any lingering signs of the intruder.

“Panda was not happy when the bird was gone,” van Seters shared. “He paced the house meowing for 30 minutes looking for it.”
With the bird’s exact whereabouts unknown to Panda, he felt compelled to remain vigilant until he could ensure his family’s safety.

Panda’s reaction showcased his unwavering commitment to defending his territory and those he loves.
Despite the bird’s cuteness, Panda was relentless in his stance that no one should invade his space without permission.
His fierce meowing was a powerful reminder that he would go to great lengths to keep his family secure, and they wouldn’t have him any other way.
Cats may get agitated by birds due to their natural predatory instincts. Birds can trigger a cat’s hunting instinct, enticing them to chase and capture them.
Also, birds may pose a territorial threat to a cat, especially if they enter its living space, triggering a defensive response. In the case of this story, both creatures are safe and free in their own habitats.
